How i got into Hip-Hop
Ever since i was a kid, i admired the hip-hop scene. The problem with me was i was born in a rich home and no worries to my name. as i grew older, i found my self trying to find my place in the hip-hop era, i tried using computer programs (wasn’t feeling it), rapping (im too white), Graffiti (i was to afraid i’d have to sit in jail), I had was getting older and then pretty much gave up. I was now at the age were i could just ask my dad can i get some equipment for free. I watched dudes like DFD, Wax, etc making it big in the hip-hop scene and youtube. And i wanted that piece of life. So i went looking for what i no talent striving artist could do.
I walked into a music store one day and saw on a rack a bunch of drum machines. I touched a pad, and it seemed my whole life changed around me. That day i went home and educated my self in as much as i could to the this type of equipment.
I found my self taking a high interest in the MPC500. Which to me was the sickist piece of equipment for a starter. So it was final, i was going to save my money up for the next step in my hip-hop career.
A few weeks went by and all i could do was dream about the day i could be sampling a piece of music and make some clean music. I went to the music store as much as i could to get my hand ready for the world that was going to coming to me.
It was pay day and i was ready to finally buy my MPC500. So i went to ebay looked up my MPC’s and out of know were there was a MPC1000 going for about 300$ and 20 hours left for bidding. I added it to my watch list. Now you got to understand MPC500 are nothing compared to the glories of a MPC1000, and with such a low price i had to keep my eye on it. When it was in the last seconds of bidding, i was able to stag that bad boy for 400 and something dollars. I was amazed. A lightly used MPC1000 being bought at a 60% discounted price from a brand new one. i was rolling at the idea.
A few weeks past and my MPC1000 finally came in. I rarely touched a MPC1000 before so it was time to read the manual and get into the music producing world.
the first night i made a nescore (gameboy music) song. then the second day i record that same song. And by the 3rd day my fingers were aching. i thought it was funny but I was finally living my dream. Know i am about two months into the game, and i have much to learn.
The story doesnt end here, but only keeps getting better. Just like practicing using the MPC, the more i go at it, the better i will get.
One word to the homies looking to get into the hip-hop scene. Doesnt matter how old you are, go for your dreams. Also don’t ever get full of your self. Keep working and know that you always have room to get better.
Cause if your the best, then what do you have to strive for? True Hip-hop is in self humility. Just never give up and always have that yern to get better!

This was done on a MPC1000. As you can hear the bass is too bossy. So i decided that im just going to make this a demo until my new Ram comes into. That way ill be able to save songs directly to the MPC. So your going to have to wait untiil the full comes out.
Anyways, i am working on a album. Thats my cover of my album, expect it sometime in the next 5 months.
Anyways back to the song.
i worked about 4 hours on it. its really fat. Only my second song developed on my MPC. i probably have been banging my MPC for about a month (less). So its all good.
Tell me how i can improve!
Howdy!
